Chemical peels are ideal for giving skin a fresh, youthful glow.

At Kingsway Dermatology in Toronto, we offer a range of chemical peel treatments to address a variety of skin conditions. The best treatment options for your skin will be determined during your personal consultation.

Discover what a chemical peel can accomplish by calling the Toronto area's Kingsway Dermatology and Cosmetic Centre at 416–231–0100.. You can also schedule a free consultation.

Your chemical peel treatment will:

  • Exfoliate old cells to stimulate new cell growth.
  • Help reduce skin pigmentation.
  • Aid in clearing acne-prone skin
  • Improve sun-damaged skin.
  • Reduce fine lines.
  • Brighten skin.
  • Rejuvenate your complexion.

Chemical peels are a simple, non-invasive treatment for skin rejuvenation. Your skin is washed and prepped before applying the peeling agent. After allowing the peel to take effect, it is rinsed off before the application of post-peel recovery cream and sunscreen.

Your skin may be slightly reddened for four to 24 hours following a chemical peel, and moderate peeling will occur in two to three day's time before revealing your fresh, youthful look.

Moisturizers are required to aid the skin in healing and make-up can be applied the next day. Post-treatment directions and product recommendations will be provided to you by our team.

Chemical Peel Type: TCA Peels

The TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peels performed at Kingsway Dermatology are very different from the standard chemical peels in Toronto area.

Our TCA solutions are formulated by blending a range of ingredients including lactic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), plumping phytohormones, kojic and azelaic acids to produce dramatic results without the discomfort and downtime associated with traditional TCA peels.

At Kingsway Dermatology and Cosmetic Centre, we offer three TCA chemical peel formulations:

  • Sensi Peel®

This gentle solution is for guests seeking gradual lightening but instant tightening. Formulated primarily for ethnic skin and other extremely sensitive skin types, Sensi Peel® helps strengthen and brighten the skin while helping to treat sun damage and other forms of hyperpigmentation and skin discoloration.

This multi-faceted treatment also provides anti-inflammatory, anti-acne and anti-bacterial action. And it's an excellent treatment option for helping calm rosacea, as redness and inflammation can subside substantially after treatment.

  • Ultra Peel® I

Ideal for sensitive skin types, this chemical peel effectively treats acne, pigmentation disorders, aging skin, smoker's skin and photo-damaged or sun-weathered skin.

The Ultra Peel® I exfoliating treatment is specially formulated to aid clients with dehydrated and maturing skin. Appropriate for many skin types, conditions and sensitivities, this chemical peel may produce only a mild tingling sensation during treatment. Moderate to aggressive exfoliation can be achieved with this chemical peel, depending on the number of layers applied.

Your final result will be plump, hydrated and ultra-soft skin.

  • Ultra Peel® Forte

This is a medium-depth skin chemical peel and is doctor-supervised for your safety and comfort.

This deeper and more active chemical peel treatment is ideal for clients with resilient skin who have more dramatic wrinkling, sun damage or acne scarring.

Ultra Peel® Forte will effectively improve aging skin, reduce acne, treat pigment disorders, smoker's skin and improve the appearance of photo-damaged skin.

This chemical peel treatment helps restore dehydrated skin and rejuvenate aging skin for a more youthful texture and tone.

Chemical Peel Type: AFA™ Clay Peel

With amino acids, this unique two-step chemical peel procedure provides superb exfoliation and powerful antioxidants to help your skin retain moisture with little or no irritation and no down time.

The AFA rare earth clay masque helps draw impurities from the skin while preparing it for application of a customized AFA gel peel.

This popular chemical peel is especially effective for reducing fine lines, enhancing the tone and texture of your skin, and reducing the appearance of photo damage or sun spots.

Best results are achieved by a series of six chemical peels administered every two to three weeks.

Unlike other chemical peels, this peel can be used in tandem with other cosmetic procedures such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and non-ablative lasers for maximum improvement.
