Dr. Poulos studied immunology at the University of Toronto, where she graduated with high distinction. She went onto the University of Ottawa School of Medicine, and graduated summa cum laude.She subsequently studied Dermatology at the prestigious five-year Dermatology Residency Program at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Poulos has trained in Medical Research Fellowships in the United States and Canada, including Stanford University, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She has also volunteered her services as a medical physician abroad and proudly serves as a member of a number of charities. She has taken an active role in leadership and mentorship, having served on numerous committees and boards throughout the years.
Dr. Poulos is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a board-certified member of the American Board of Dermatology, as well as a fellow of the Canadian Dermatology Association, and of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Poulos co-founded Kingsway Dermatology and Cosmetic Centre in 2006. Her vision was to create a center of excellence in Dermatology. Focused on her core purpose and mission, Dr. Poulos was able to recruit a team of highly trained and expert dermatology colleagues and support staff that work together with the same vision – to achieve the highest quality of care and outcomes for patients.
