Rachel Ruppel, MD, FRCP(C), DABD
Dr. Rachel Ruppel is a board-certified dermatologist in both Canada and the United States. She completed her undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Immunology at Dalhousie University, and earned her medical degree at the University of Ottawa before returning to Toronto to complete her residency training in dermatology at the University of Toronto. During that time, she received numerous scholarships and awards for research, academic excellence, and community service.
Dr. Ruppel is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCP), a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (DABD), and a member of the Canadian Dermatology Association and Toronto Dermatologic Society. At Kingsway Dermatology & Cosmetic Centre, Dr. Ruppel specializes in laser hair removal and skin tightening, but diagnoses and treats a variety of different skin concerns.
In addition to practicing medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and dermatologic surgery, Dr. Ruppel has been published in numerous medical journals and is an active participant at international academic conferences, and regularly presents on a variety of dermatology topics to family physicians and other health professionals.
Dr. Ruppel is dedicated to remaining up to date with advances in the field of dermatology to provide her patients with the most effective information and treatments. She enjoys the diversity that dermatology has to offer, and the wide range of concerns she is able to treat in order to better her patients’ lives, from skin cancer to acne to cosmetic injectables. She feels privileged that her patients put such trust and confidence in her care.

Dr. Ruppel grew up in Toronto, where she still resides today, with her husband and two sons. She is also a proud aunt to eight nieces and nephews (and counting)!
